Antique English oak coffer with hand-painted panels depicting men and women involved in daily activities, with family crest initialed J. H. and dated illegibly, ornate brass escutcheon plate, pegged construction, 35" H x 71" W x 31 1/2" D. One 6"age crack on top and chest is locked. Purchased by Mr. Athanas at MGM movie prop sale, May 1970 Hollywood.
